Staying home with the kids today. The two youngest have scarlet fever.
Who the hell gets "scarlet fever" these days?!
Maybe it's a side effect of my being a re-enacter.... Portray life in the 17oo's, and have your childer contract interesting deseases like scurvy, small pox, malaria, and feckin' Scarlet Fever!
At least it's not lethal anymore; it's just strepthroat with spots, easily cured with antibiotics.
