Words Worthy Of Our Founding Fathers

I was meaning to write a thank you note to our troops, albeit late, for Memorial Day.

Instead, I read this over at my good friend Graumagus' FrizzenSparks, & realized that I really had no words.

Grau, you truly are an inspired American.

All I can offer is a prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, bless and keep this nation safe from the traitors in our midst, namely our own media & politicians who value their own power more than their nation's well being.

Bless and protect our soldiers, sailors, airmen, & marines, Lord. Cover and shield them from the bullets of the Enemy, as well as from the hatred they face from their own so-called "countrymen", who would rather bask in the failure of their endeavour to protect us here at home.

Be with our wounded warriors, that they receive the honor and devotion they deserve from a loving God and from the citizens they guard; with our valiant fallen, Lord, and welcome them warmly to Your Presence. Be with all of their families, and comfort them in their darkest hours.

Finally, Dear God, give those of us at home the will and the strength to carry on the fight for freedom when our time comes.

Hear this prayer in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit +

Amen.

I never was good at praying in public. And I really hope He's listening.
